The 2020 Grammy Awards paid tribute to the Prince with an underwhelming performance fronted by Usher.

Joined by Prince’s former bandleader Sheila E on percussion and avant-pop musician FKA Twigs, Usher started the medley with a tepid version of "Little Red Corvette.” Eschewing Prince’s signature purple costuming and gender-bending insignia for an inexplicably shiny powder blue suit and cross necklace, Usher couldn’t have looked further from the unconventional pop icon he was there to pay tribute to.
