NDA sweeps Guwahati civic polls, Congress draws a blank in 54 seats

BJP and its allies swept the Guwahati Municipal Corporation elections in Assam on Sunday, winning 58 of the 60 wards at stake to make this the saffron camp's seventh consecutive electoral triumph in the state since its first hurrah in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
