Telangana's Kaleshwaram temple seeks PM Modi's attention for facelift

Telangana's temple town of Kaleshwaram, known for the Kaleshwaram Mukteshwara Swamy temple and the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, is awaiting the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his visit to the state for an election campaign. The 1,000-year-old temple is located on the bank of river Godavari and is famous for its unique feature of two Lingams engraved on a single pedestal. The temple, situated 134 km away from Karimnagar district where Modi is scheduled to hold an election rally, has been a topic of discussion due to defects in the irrigation project.
