Smithsonian Institute has just released a massive trove of 2.8 million high-quality two-dimensional and three-dimensional images to the public domain. Which means you can download them free of charge. These images were sourced from all 19 Smithsonian museums, nine research centers, libraries, archives, and the National Zoo. These images are a record of some famous artifacts such as Muhammad Ali’s celebrated headgear, a portrait of Ida B. Wells, and an early contract for the legendary BB King and orchestra.
