Windows 11 Testers Unable to Switch to the Beta Channel

Microsoft itself is recommending users to move from the Dev to the Beta channel in the Insider program in order to stick with more stable Windows 11 builds, but on the other hand, the switch appears to be much harder due to a bug disabling the option. More specifically, HTNovo reports that making the switch from the Dev channel to Beta is no longer possible for some users, simply because the Beta ring is greyed out in the Settings screen. And while the whole thing is still possible with a registry hack, not everybody might figure out how to do it, so Microsoft should definitely look into this and ship a patch to bring things back to normal.
