First-time ever: US falls out of top 20 in World Happiness Rankings

In the latest evaluation, involving more than 140 countries, the US was placed 23rd, a drop from its 15th position the previous year. The report highlighted a significant dip in happiness among Americans under 30, contrasting with the country's top 10 ranking for the happiness of those aged 60 and over. Finland continues its streak as the happiest nation globally for the seventh consecutive year.
