2021 Heart Telethon underway

The 2021 wktv heart telethon is officially underway.

Wktv and several wktv and several other sponsors of this annual event are bringing awareness all day long to the fight against heart disease and stroke.

At the top of the hour we heard from this year's chair of the telethon committee, tina pavlot.

Now, we are joined by steve gassner!

He is the chair of the board of directors for the american heart association utica and mohawk valley chapter.

As well as the logistics chair of america's greatest heart run and walk.

This "silent killer" is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke.
